The key to a successful transition is communication so that both parties have an understanding of the business to be transferred and timelines from implementation to anticipated conclusion. Difficulties experienced: Item specifications, including materials and packaging requirements, do not match what was provided in the RFQ/RFP; Unknown number of items involved in transition (100%, 80%, 20% of business); Format/software used for artwork (CCL preference outline all text/symbols from original file prior to saving the PDF. If this step is performed, there is no need to supply document fonts to CCL); Forecast for items, and transition implementation date, in order to have tooling and materials on hand when orders are placed
